Clement | Peterson, founded in 2009, has offices and staff in San Francisco and Denver. Fully focused on the B2B tech sector, our team has helped a number of clients achieve double-digit revenue growth and, in many cases, acquisitions through strategic and targeted media relations campaigns.
We believe in proactive, efficient PR work that provides value to both our clients and the publications we work with. Our media (and analyst) knowledge across technology, business, and vertical publications provides clients with the access and speed of a boutique agency and the contact depth of much larger agencies. Having worked at (and with) bigger and more expensive agencies, the Clement | Peterson model is built around long-term client partnerships that maximize PR budget efficiency and prioritize initiatives that help client businesses grow. (That said, unlike most large agencies, all clients are on month-to-month contracts; if something isn’t working or budget allocation changes, clients aren’t on the hook.)

Before launching Clement | Peterson in 2009, Clement spent six years helping build one of the fastest growing PR firms in Silicon Valley, Page One Public Relations (since acquired by LEWIS). Clement has managed PR teams for some of the world’s leading technology companies, including Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and Microsoft.
A veteran of the well-regarded firms Waggener Edstrom, Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations, and Metzger Associates, he has also led worldwide corporate communications in-house for several start-up companies. His PR awards include the IABC Bronze Quill for crisis communications and the PRSA Gold Pick for innovative PR campaign development. Clement also created the world’s first online soap opera, As the Web Turns, and was the founder of Colorado’s original PRSA Technology Section.
He holds a B.A. in communications from the University of Colorado.
Peterson leads the agency’s San Francisco operations. He specializes in B2B client work that increases brand/product awareness and visibility through earned media, analyst relations, strategic op-ed placements, and targeted lead generation via digital advertising campaigns.
Peterson has extensive experience leading PR campaigns for clients across B2B tech domains including cloud, networking, security, open source software, and developer tools. In this realm he regularly works not only with technology publications, but also national media and key vertical outlets (such as those covering financial services, healthcare, government, retail, and manufacturing). Prior to Clement | Peterson he worked at Page One Public Relations, a firm specializing in B2B technology campaigns. He has previously been named as a Rising PR Star 30 & Under by PR News, the industry’s leading publication.
Peterson holds a B.A. in psychology from Stanford University.
